The Centre of Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) is one of the most important research centers in Greece with its main purpose being the promotion of innovative research addressing society’s modern challenges. The Chemical Process Engineering Research Institute (CPERI) in particular has been involved in several projects in the field of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) as well as in projects aimed on decarbonizing energy-intensive industries (EIIs) and on developing novel zero/low carbon fuels and chemicals.
In the ConsenCUS project, CERTH is an integral part of several packages and the leader in the “Techno-economic analysis, business case and implementation planning” work package focused on evaluating the feasibility and large-scale deployment of ConsenCUS CCUS technologies. Currently, the team is focused on the development of the TEA and LCA/LCC frameworks.
